Granular urea fertilizer is an organic compound with the chemical formula CO(NH2)2 with a white and granular appearance, which is widely used as a nitrogen fertilizer in the world. Urea in the soil is hydrolyzed and decomposes into ammonia and carbon dioxide. Ammonia resulting from this process is oxidized to nitrate by the bacteria in the soil, and as a result, it can be absorbed by the plant.
